Job Opening! Customer Service Consultant
We are searching for a Customer Service Consultant to help us make our customer experience the absolute best! This role is one of a consultant and we are searching for someone who can not only do the work for a year but also set up processes and procedures so that others could do the work in the future. We are a small but mighty team and each member counts.
Working hours will be Monday through Friday – approximately 2 hours per day with possibility of increasing as our business grows.
This job is grant funded and a contract position. The first contract will end in October, 2024 with option to extend for a second year.
This is mostly computer work and all indoor work.

Job Description:
Daily duties include but are not limited to:
- Filling and shipping herb orders at least one day per week.
- Intake of new herbs
- Inventory of herbs monthly
- Answering the phone and taking action as needed.
- Answering online chat and taking action as needed.
- Answering customer emails and taking action as needed.
- Reaching out to customers with proactive customer service.
- Develop and document customer service processes and procedures that will enable Meeting House Farm to grow while ensuring our customers are the happiest on the planet.
The ideal candidate will:
- have previous horticultural or farm experience
- love working with people and helping them solve problems
- have interest in working with herbs and plants
- have experience with spreadsheets, Shopify or ecommerce systems
- have experience in creating and documenting customer service processes
- own the role and love keeping our customers and farms the happiest.
- have transportation to and from Meeting House Herb Farm in Scarborough, Maine
