Certified Organic by MOFGA and grown regeneratively by one of the Meeting House Farm Collaborative Farms.

Plants are dried immediately after harvest in an on-farm organic certified drying facility to maximize potency and preserve quality.

Extracts are a 1:2 ratio of Fresh Aerial Parts in Alcohol. Ingredients: Leonurus cardiaca*‡, Distilled Maine Alcohol*, spring water. // *certified organic, ‡grown at Meeting House Farm.

A selection of 1 lb dried botanicals is considered a pre-order.  It may be ordered in advance and will be shipped directly from Meeting House Herb farm once it is grown, harvested and dried.  Orders are shipped in the order they are received.  Pre-Orders are always filled first before being listed in our online farmer's market.

We typically harvest Motherwort in August.

In the Apothecary:

Preparations: extract of fresh leaf, dried for infusion.

Uses: Menstrual, cardiovascular & nervous system support. 

Energetics:  cooling

Tastes: bitter

From our Experience:

When blending herbal tisanes, motherwort typically acts as an accent herb and combines well with hawthorn, milky oats, red clover, rose, marshmallow, or mint.
